Let's be honest: very few of us actually use bookmarks properly.

  • Want to organize them? Have fun with folders.
  • Want to share them with colleagues? Good luck.
  • Want to add a comment, a note, or an image? Forget it.

In short, bookmarks are broken.

I've always wondered if that's why so many people keep 77 tabs open in their browser. But I digress...

Bookmarking with Klaro Cards?

At Klaro Cards, we love simple solutions. So we added a tiny feature — but one that makes a big difference:

👉 You can now configure a board to open an external link when you click on a card.

The result? Each card can become a contextualized, shareable, annotatable, visual — and living bookmark.

You can create a board for your research, your project, your reading list, your company’s websites, etc.

A clearer and simpler way to manage your links: check our reusable template

Configuring your board

In the Board settings, under the Cards behavior section, choose Open external link as the action when a card is clicked:

As shown in the image, you can tell Klaro Cards which dimension to use to find the link to open: the card’s title, description, or one of your dimensions that contains free text.

What types of links are supported?

For the geeks among you, the feature isn’t limited to standard web links (https://) — it works with any valid URI, including deeplinks. So you can add links to your slack:// channels, ftp:// accounts, msteams:// Teams channels, notion:// pages, etc.
