Klaro Cards Jira Doomsday Clock Get in touch →
Death notice, scheduled

In 884 days, your Jira goes read-only.

until Jira Data Center goes read-only (28 march 2029, 23:59 Pacific · 29 march, 08:59 in Brussels)

On 28 march 2029, Atlassian switches Jira Data Center off. Your choice: migrate your data to an American cloud, or look at it without being able to touch it. Or take a third option, a Belgian one.

Last possible renewal in 522 days (30 march 2028)

This is not a rumour. It is a calendar.

  1. 16 dec. 2025 No new apps. The Marketplace closes its doors. Past
  2. 30 march 2026 No new customers. Already done. You hadn't noticed? Past
  3. 30 march 2028 Last possible renewal. The last train before the cliff. Ahead
  4. 28 march 2029 Read-only. Your Jira becomes a museum: you look, you don't touch. The date on the clock

Atlassian leaves you the choice.

Option A The cloud.
Option B The cloud. In its "isolated" edition.
Option C The cloud. With extended maintenance. Paid. By exception.

… or read-only, so you can contemplate your tickets from 2019 like fossils.

Your data in Ireland. Your supplier in Delaware.

Atlassian offers to host your data in the EU. But Atlassian Corporation remains an American company, subject to American law, including the CLOUD Act. The address of the server does not change the nationality of whoever holds the keys.

The emergency exit

Built in Belgium. Hosted in Europe. Under Belgian law. Mad, isn't it?

European cloud

Your data in European data centres, on infrastructure Klaro Cards has run itself since 2017.

Dedicated instance

An environment of your own, for stricter requirements.

On-premise

On your own premises, on your own servers.

  • AI agents over MCP · Full SaaS and Enterprise

We don't replace Jira. We replace what you were actually doing with it.

Plenty of organisations use Jira to track files, worksites and internal requests. That needs neither 47 custom fields nor a certified administrator.

Who this is not for: software development teams who live in sprints and Bitbucket. Stay where you are; no hard feelings.

The escape plan, in 3 steps.

  1. 01 A 15-minute call We look at what you actually do in Jira.
  2. 02 A first module within days On your most painful process, running alongside Jira.
  3. 03 We extend, at your pace No commitment, no notice period. You have until 2029; we are in no hurry either.

Cheaper than a GDPR lawsuit.

No commitment. Change formula whenever you like.

One precise need One module from 15 € / user / month One business process, running within days.
Several processes Bundle from 25 € / user / month When the first module has had children.
Up to 10 people Full SaaS 99 € / user / month Every module, AI agents over MCP.
Public sector, multi-site Enterprise plan from 549 € / month, not per user An environment of your own, for 10 people and up.
Jira Data Center · smallest tier $59,000 / year Minimum 500 users, even if you are 20. Servers, database, backups and an administrator not included.
Klaro Cards Enterprise · dedicated instance 6,588 € / year Fifty users at the same price — the headcount changes nothing. Hosting, updates and backups included. Around 9 times less than the Jira Data Center entry ticket.

Public prices excl. VAT, Klaro Cards, pricing, checked on 16/10/2026. Jira Data Center: Atlassian list price on 17 february 2026, 500-user tier.

The awkward questions

We have until 2029, why move now?

Because the last renewal is 30 march 2028, and a public tender does not happen over a weekend.

Can we import our Jira data?

Yes: export your tickets as CSV and import them into a Klaro Cards project, where the fields become dimensions. We help with the mapping.

And if Atlassian changes its mind again?

They already have once: a year before this announcement they dropped their "cloud first" mantra. All the more reason not to depend on their next about-turn.

Is Klaro Cards solid?

A Belgian company since 2017, € 750,000 raised in 2025, and customers who have stayed for years.

Where is my data, exactly?

In Europe. Full stop.

Can we install it on our own servers?

Yes. Klaro Cards also runs on your own servers, alongside the European cloud and the dedicated instance. Tell us your setup and we'll work it out together.

Time passes. So do your tickets.
